📚 Sure, you should read books…
🎧Listen to podcasts…
💻Watch YouTube videos to get information…
While those things are helpful, they are NOTHING compared to having a MENTOR.
For example ⬇️
When someone wants to become a Navy Seal, do they read some books, watch some YouTube videos, then get sent off into combat?
No. ❌❌❌
That’s not how it works.
They go through intense training that’s supervised by people who have already done what they are trying to do.
🏆It’s the “Mentor/Mentee” relationship.
The Mentor/Mentee relationship is really the only way to guarantee success…
It’s rare to find a successful person who doesn’t credit his or her success to the mentors they had.
✅ Quincy Jones’ mentor was Count Basie
✅ The Kid Laroi’s mentor was Juice WRLD
✅ Justin Bieber’s mentor was Usher
✅ Eminem’s mentor was Dr. Dre and he in turn went on to mentor 50 Cent
✅ Kanye West’s mentor was Jay Z
✅ Oasis had The Real People
Think about that…
Even in Star Wars, a movie about SPACE MAGIC, they did not try tell us that Luke Skywalker could accomplish his goal without a Mentor…
… because THAT would have been too unrealistic!
Over the years I have had (and still have) MANY mentors and of course I also mentor other people!
I want you to get in touch if you want to accelerate your improvement, boost your confidence, stay encouraged and motivated and of course I’m the only one that can actually offer highly paid opportunities from Day 1.
Don’t get stuck in the trap of wanting to do everything yourself when you already know from experience it hasn’t worked.
If you’re focussed and committed then send us a message and we’ll go through an application. 👊
These are requests from labels with specific guidelines and deadlines.
Take the guess work out of monetising your music with specific hands on guidance of what to do.
Listen to and study the reference tracks.
What key and tempo is the track in?
What are the chords?
What’s the mood?
What’s the concept?
Just because you want to write a 15 minute Drum and Bass track about Uranus doesn’t mean the artist who wants to buy the track does.
Separate your art from your craft and write in the style of what’s selling so you can sell it to the people who are buying!
Can you mimic the original?
What scale does the reference use?
Why?
You can’t get sued for copying a structure.
Building a house with a basement, 2 floors and a loft won’t necessarily look the same as another with the same structure.
Paint one bright pink and see how it suddenly looks completely different!
HiFi or LoFi?
Mixed and Mastered?
Learning in a studio is very expensive but you can get professional results at home with an audio interface and the right attitude.

In many cases I actually don’t recommend releasing music independently, (it really just means “on your own”) and I think most courses (including University) are a total disservice to an artist.
Someone had to say it.
The people who advise you to release independently have usually never done it themselves but they know most people will fail and will try to upsell you promo, pr, social media guides and marketing.
You’ll be sitting on a pile of unsold T-shirts by the end of the year that way… I GUARANTEE it!
Courses are either essays, dissertations and a classroom full of distractions or worse they’re pre-recorded videos or PDF’s that don’t apply to your problems and often the teacher has little to no professional experience.
It costs nearly £30K and offers no work afterwards.
I signed a 6-figure record deal 6 months into a degree (totally unrelated) but the head of music didn’t ask who the label was, how much it was for or even say… “Well done”.
It seemed that all he cared about was student retention.
His only professional experience was writing a song for Eurovision that received “nil points”.
Zero.
The head of music…
In one of the most prestigious music courses in the world.
Can you see where I’m going with this?
What I believe any artist needs, at a bare minimum, is 1:2:1 help from someone who’s done what they want to do.
Whether it’s for songwriting, learning a musical instrument, production or vocals it can save years of heartache and thousands of pounds.
And because of video messaging you can get it from anywhere or anyone in the world.
But who?
Well what about someone who has done what you want to do?
My names Paul McBride I’ve been signed to the same labels as The Beatles, Eminem and Billie Eilish.
My last release was Number 1 in America and I’ve had over 20M streams this year.
I’m a professional songwriter but I’ve also toured extensively in bands at major festivals and stadiums with highlights being Glastonbury, The Royal Albert Hall and Alexandra Palace.
I’ve been professional for 14 years and can show you how to do it too…simple as that!
